Professor Peter Woolliscroft
Director - Proclivity and Board Member of Constructing Excellence
Peter, a Chartered Engineer by profession he has as been involved in the public sector for 40+ years. Mostly in the healthcare sector and social housing where his experience at senior management level includes, construction and asset and facilities management.
In 2000 he became Head of Construction and Facilities Management for the Department of Health, a post he held for 5 years during which time he developed and implemented the NHS Procure 21 programme before moving to the Office of Government Commerce, (OGC) part of the Treasury, heading Construction and Facilities Management Efficiency.
Peter became Managing Director of a private sector procurement company set up by ten London Arm’s Length Management Organisation to supply smarter procurement services for the National Decent Homes Program in social housing. Throughout this period Peter has been actively involved in promoting smarter procurement including chairing the Construction Clients Group, chair of The Strategic Forum for Construction, main board director at Constructing Excellence, chair of Constructing Excellence in Learning Ltd. and chair of Healthcare Facilities Consortium. Peter is a visiting professor at Northumbria University where he is part of the School of the Built and Natural Environment; he speaks regularly at conferences and seminars on Construction and FM related topics.
